What are Yug Reward Points?

For signing up and buying stuff, you get YUG Rewards, also known as YUG Points. YUG Points lead to higher member levels with extra discounts. The more you buy the better your price gets. Why am I not seeing the product I clicked on from a website or email?
Yugster runs daily deals that last 24 hours (1 Yug-day*).  Every morning, at 6:00am Eastern time, the deals for the day change. Products in emails, and sometimes on other affiliate websites, link to pages on Yugster.com. The products on these pages change every day as mentioned.  So if you open the email after the day it was sent, you will see a different deal offered. Yugster often repeats popular deals though, so the best way to snag a good deal that you have seen before, or missed out on, is to Sign Up for the Yugster Deals daily email.  *A Yug-day is kind of like a Fiscal Year - it isn't what you are used to. Our day runs 6:00am to 6:00am. Our members tell us they like it that way.

Why Did the Price Just Change?  The price of the deal went down right after I bought it.
YugPoints are most likely the culprit, but this is a good thing!  For example, let's say you are a Bronze Level Member, and have 500 YugPoints.  If you purchase a deal on the Sharp or Shiny page for $9.95, you would earn 100 YugPoints, which would bump you up to Silver Member Pricing (you earn 100 points for every purchase, and 200 points for Sunday's Deals & Friday Member Only Deals).  After you make that purchase, and revisit the Sharp or Shiny page, the price could show up as $8.95, because you would be looking at the deal as a new Silver Member with 600 YugPoints. What are the Plugster's Pick Offers?

What’s the deal with the Yours Until Gone tab?
The items found on this tab are available to the general public and are typically limited in quantity. You may have seen them before on Yugster or they could be something completely new. Either way, get one (or two) before they’re gone. You never know if it will be out there for a couple hours or a couple days.

Are all Yugster products new?
Almost all of the products we sell are brand new with manufacturer warranties. Occasionally an offer on a refurbished product is too good for us to pass up, so we do offer refurbished items from time to time. If we are offering a refurbished item that day, we will clearly spell that out in the description along with the length of the warranty, but in general everything is brand spanking new.

New
New products are items in perfect condition directly from our suppliers or manufacturers in retail packaging.
They include all accessories, documentation, and the full manufacturer warranty, when applicable.


Bulk Pack
Bulk Pack products are new items in as new condition from our suppliers or manufacturers without retail packaging, reducing the overall cost.
An eco-friendly alternative to retail packaging, Bulk Pack items are often shipped in plain boxes, bubble wrap pouches, or small plastic cases for protection during shipping.

Bulk Pack items carry the same warranty terms as new retail versions, unless stated differently in the product listing. Occasionally we are able to source amazing deals on products for which the manufacturer doesn't want to provide a lengthy warranty any longer. We will offer a shorter term or a Yugster warranty instead.
Bulk Pack items are also commonly known as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), "white box" or "brown box" items.


Open Box
Open box products are items where the retail packaging has been opened for inspection and subsequently offered at a lower price than the same brand new version.

Customers of big box stores sometimes open product packaging to see what is included. Once they are satisfied, they put the box back on the shelf and take a new one to the checkout stand. These become "Open Box" products that are sold to Yugster at a discounted price, which we pass along to our customers.  In addition, Yugster sometimes gets products returned by customers who have changed their minds about the purchase for a variety of reasons. We inspect the product, and if it is complete, fully functional as intended and containing everything necessary for operation, we will offer it for sale at a great discount.

What qualifies as an open box product?
• Products that were opened to verify package contents.
• An unused product that has packaging damage from shipping.
• An unused product that has packaging damage from the warehouse.
• A customer return that was shipped to the customer but the customer changed their mind.
• A customer return that was opened but the product was untouched.
• A customer return that were set up/tested briefly but the customer changed their mind or needed a different solution.
Open Box items may have minor scratches or cosmetic blemishes that do not affect the performance of the product. Open box items may be shipped in plain boxes if the outer packaging was damaged. They include the original manufacturer warranty, unless noted differently in the product listing.

Refurbished

Refurbished products are items that were returned to the manufacturer or the designated refurbisher, parts were replaced or updated with newer technology, and then restored to its original working condition. After undergoing an intensive inspection process by qualified technicians, refurbished products are guaranteed to work like new but are offered at a substantially discounted price.

Refurbished products can originate from a variety of sources, including:
• Recalled or returned items that have a slight defect/faulty part, that has been corrected/replaced.
• Items where the box or casing was damaged in shipment that are returned to the manufacturer.
• Overstock items that were returned to make room for newer product lines.
• Products have been provided to customers for trial or demonstration purposes.
• Products that have been used for purposes such as trade shows, customer events, or solution centers then returned to the manufacturer.
• Products from trade-in programs where customers have returned to the manufacturer in order to upgrade to new technology.

Refurbished products are in good overall condition but may contain scratches or cosmetic blemishes that do not affect the performance of the product. The product listing will describe the contents of the box and the item may or may not be shipped with accessories or manuals. Refurbished items are usually shipped in a plain box and may not include the original manufacturer warranty. The warranty provided will be described in the product listing.

Factory Recertified
Factory recertified products are items that were returned to the manufacturer, underwent an inspection process by qualified technicians, and are checked to function as new or recalibrated and have passed all the factory tests and are offered at a substantially discounted price.

Recertified products can originate from a variety of sources, including:
• Customer returns or cancelled orders that are brand new or fully-functional products that leave the manufacturer's warehouse and therefore can no longer be sold as new.
• Items in which the box or casing was damaged in shipment which are returned to the manufacturer.
• Overstock items that were returned to make room for newer product lines.
• Products have been provided to customers for for trial or demonstration purposes.
• Products that have been used for purposes such as trade shows, customer events, or solution centers then returned to the manufacturer.
Please note that some factory-recertified items may have marks, scratches, or other slight signs of wear that do not affect the performance of the product.
Recertified items may be shipped in plain boxes and may not include the original manufacturer warranty. These details will be described in the product listing page.

Can I purchase gift cards for Yugster.com?
Yes, just click the Gift Cards graphic on our website. Once purchased, your virtual gift card details will be emailed to you within minutes. You can then either activate the gift card in your own Yugster account or you can give the gift of Yugster and forward the email to someone else. Yugster Gift Cards are available on our Last Chance page.

 

 

What is your Last Chance page?
On occasion we have just a few leftover items from a previous day, or we'll have a great deal on an item but not enough quantity to make it our main daily deal. When that happens, we put them on our Last Chance page.

Can I see my order history online?
Yes, simply Sign In into your Yugster account, and then click on the My Account link found near the top right hand corner of the page. This is where you will be able to find all of your account information, including your order history.

I forgot my user name and/or password. What do I do?
On the left side of the Sign In page click on "Forgot My Password" below the Member Sign In area. You will be prompted to enter the email address associated with your member account. You will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your email shortly after. Then you will be ready to Yug again!

I would like to change my user name and/or password. How do I do that?
You can change your password by clicking the "Forgot My Password" as mentioned above.  Unfortunately you can't manually change your username.  If you wish to change your user name, please Contact Us.  You can Sign In to your account with your email address and password.

How do I change my email address?
Once signed in, click on the "My Account" in the upper right of the website. This is snapshot look at your account, including email address, username, shipping information, and more. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page to update your contact information, including your email address. You will be able to modify any of these items at anytime. 

What is a YugDown?
It is our way to empty out our warehouse while filling up our bank account. When you see the YugDown banner on the top of Yugster, a YugDown is under way. We dramatically drop our prices for a short period of time (usually a few hours to a full day, we have a big warehouse). So instead of a daily deal, we keep listing products at stupidly low prices and once they are gone we move on to the next. Don't worry, tomorrow we are back to daily deals.

I posted a comment on Discuss This Yug or on the blog, what happened to it?

A: There are two scenarios for which your comment may not appear:
1. It may be pending approval. Comments on the blog are moderated BEFORE they appear on the site, and this takes a little time. Since the volume of comments on the site has grown rapidly, there is often a delay between a comment being posted and it being approved, especially during peak hours. We appreciate your patience and ask that you refrain from posting the same comment repeatedly.

2. Your comment violated the policy below. We pride ourselves in providing a medium for useful or thoughtful comments and encourage our users to speak their minds, provided comments fall within our commenting policy.

We only delete those comments that include the following transgressions:

• are abusive, off-topic, use excessive foul language
• include ad hominem attacks including comments that celebrate the death or illness of any person, public figure or otherwise
• contain racist, sexist, homophobic or other slurs
• are solicitations and/or advertising for personal blogs and websites
• thread spamming (you've posted this same comment elsewhere on the site)
• are posted with the explicit intention of provoking other commenters or the staff at Yugster.com
• contains content that may infringe the copyright or intellectual property rights of others or other applicable laws or regulations.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and PayPal. For credit card payments, please note that the provided billing information must be a 100% match with the information on file with your credit card company.

Where and how do you ship, and how quickly?

Yugster ships to all Contiguous 48 states in the U.S. plus the District of Columbia. We do not ship internationally, including Canada and Mexico. Unfortunately we do not currently ship to Alaska or Hawaii or APO/FPO. 

Most orders are shipped via FedEx, UPS or USPS, depending on the order value and/or the weight.

We do our best to ship orders as quickly as possible. Almost all orders are shipped within 3 business days of purchase, but occasionally it may take 1-2 days longer depending on order volume. Please be patient. We promise to get your order shipped as soon as possible. We don't have express shipping drones (yet), but that's so that we can give you the best pricing on the net!

What is your Returns Policy?

Cancellations

Our orders are placed with our fulfillment warehouse at about 8:00 am Mountain time on the morning following the sale. So, for example, if you place an order anytime on Wednesday, it will be placed and in process on Thursday morning, at which time it is too late to cancel. Our regular returns policy takes over at that point. If you placed your order between midnight and 6:00am or so, you will have just until about 8:00 am Mountain time before the order is in process and too late to cancel. So if you need to cancel an order, please make sure you contact us the same day you place the order, and we will do our best to accomodate the request.

Defective Product - Arrived Broken or in Non-working Order
While we all would prefer that products always work as expected out of the box, a very small percentage of the time there will be a problem. We're very sorry when this happens but sometimes items just don't work correctly straight from the manufacturer. Usually there's nothing you or Yugster could have done to prevent it.

Returns are only allowed if your request is received by Yugster within 21 calendar days from your order ship date and all returns must be received complete (with all original packaging and contents) by Yugster within 14 calendar days after the return is approved. After that or if the product and packaging are not complete, all bets are off and it's yours to keep. To request warranty information or to request a return for a defective item, click on the Contact Us link at the top of this page. We will do our best to respond to your email request in a timely manner.

Defective Product - Stopped Working During Warranty Period

If there is a manufacturer's warranty, the warranty specifics, including contact information, are typically found in the packaging. If you can't find it or if the warranty is through Yugster and not the manufacturer, we'll be happy to provide you with the necessary information. If your item is covered by a manufacturer warranty but you choose not to go through the manufacturer for support and return the product to us instead, a 20% restocking fee will apply.

Change of Mind
Generally, we are not able to approve a return for a non-defective item, and some items are not returnable in any case, due to their nature. This is noted on the product page (ex: Plugster's Junk boxes are not returnable or refundable). However, there are some exceptions. Please do not open the product if you do not plan to keep the item you purchased. If you decide to return an opened product, we typically can not take it back. If an exception is made, we can't resell it as new anymore, so we unfortunately have to charge a 20% restocking fee. And we are sorry, but we also do not credit back any shipping charges paid on the original order and do not pay or reimburse for any return shipping back to us.

This policy is different than stores like Amazon, because we do not add in any extra cost to you for returns because we want to give you the best price possible on our great deals. The other guys can accept returns without cost to you because they charged more for the product in the first place than we do.

Lastly, returns are allowed only if your request is received by Yugster within 21 calendar days from your order ship date and all returns must be received complete (with all original packaging and contents) by Yugster within 14 calendar days after the return is approved. After that, or if it is not complete, then it's all yours! You get to keep your purchase or gift it on to someone else!

FREE Items (Just pay Shipping)

Yugster often lists items for sale at no charge - they are free to you for the cost of shipping alone. We are not able to take any returns on Free items. If a product arrives in non-working order, please let us know and we will correct the situation for you. Otherwise, we can't take them back. Please think of Uncle Pete or Aunt Judy if you don't like the color of your free gadget, or your Niece Triscia if you ordered a lightning cable but meant to order a 30-pin cable. And there is always EBay! 

Can I get a job at Yugster?
Sure, we need people. We need all kinds of people. So if you have skills, send us a resume and we will check you out.
