I can't see this being much use for normal consumers, but many organizations and government entities still have use for such a thing. Technically it's not a bad price either, although the retail is a little hilarious.

The build quality is phenomenal and for just surfing the web or word processing this thing is great. I agree MasterYug...buncha douches. People who know nothing about computers shouldn't speak.

I'm wondering how many of you here have even built a PC before. -OS: XP Pro (good OS) -RAM is cheap so getting it to 4GB is easy -This is "single core" but it is also at 2.45GHZ, better than the netbook comparison somebody made above. - It is made by Lenovo, good company - 8 USB 2.0 ports - It has an AGP slot and AGP has not been given up on like some builders feared. Upgrades: - PS is 230 W, I would boost this since I can find a 400W PSU fairly cheap - RAM (obviously) - USB wireless internet adapter (cheap nowadays) - cheap AGP card - switch out the 3.5 floppy drive for another bigger HD, keeping the OS on the 40GB drive. so for cheap upgrades I can beat any of your "netbooks" :) Yeah it isn't as portable, but meh.

For $249 you can get a brand new Dell with specs that (even though they are the most basic available now) absolutely blow this out of the water. For about $110 more dollars you can have a machine capable of running Windows 7 or other modern OSs. And if that isn't enough you can pick up one of these ThinkCentres with better specs for $99-$124 on other sites. And so far every single website that I have found that has a computer for less than $150 has beat the specs on this thing hand over fist. Totally YUG: It's tough as a brick... Undeniably UGH: It's also about as useful as one... It's funny how every comment supporting this product are in the form of "It's a great deal, but I wouldn't buy one."

I just want to comment on Retail Price. Retail Price: $623.20 (Really? May be in 2001). Yugster Price: $134.97. Sounds like almost $500 of saving. This is in my opinion misrepresentation and is misleading info.

This machine isn't worth 134.00 Heck they're selling an emachine, brand new at Wal Mart for 198.00 Lower the price a lot more and we;ll talk, This would make a great first computer for my grand daughter. She's seven years old. If it gets mucked up, no great loss. But it would be a good learning machine. It is a little dated, My first computer which was top of the line in 1999 had a 40 gig hard drive and 512 mb of memory. Todays apps call for much more oomph.
