The idea is lottery tickets: You trade your $$ for a ticket/receipt, then a week or so later you check what you got and find you were better off with the $$, and now you have to store this junk 'till Christmas, when you'll forget about them anyway... I was still ripped off. It was arguably not worth what they charged for it...bud earphones, a lit key ring...I can't even remember what else but it all went to charity. Even if I wanted one of the things it wasn't worth what I paid. Not worth the risk - not from yug, sorry. It's like they tried to imitate woot and failed, miserably.

I can't sell this junk on eBay and I have no use for them. I have never been lucky enough to get a gift card or anything of any significant value. If you have money to throw away and your coming off a crack bender you may think you got a good deal but in reality it's all junk. Last bundle I received really cool looking computer speakers that sound worse than the cheap Gateway speakers that came with the CPU. A couple of key chains that lit up (99 cent items, retail) some non functioning Sudoku key chain thingy, a knock off swiss army multitool key chain (you guessed it, they are big on the key chains) that I took to work and broke on my first use. A CD case that its sole purpose is to store memory cards (The guy that invented these probably still lives in a trailer) and a memory card type thingy that didn't really impress me. All this for the wonderful price of under $40. Bottom line I felt beaten and robbed after opening my bundle. I priced each individual item and it didn't come near the $40. My advice to my fellow yuggers, don’t encourage them by buying their cast offs, they empty out their warehouse, send us crap and all we have to show for it is lighter wallets. Take a pass and buy only what you know and see and verify that you’re getting value. The buyers at Yugster are getting lazy.

I did bite on the $15 one ($10 + $5 for shipping) last time it as offered and I agree that it wasn't a great deal, but it was okay. There were a couple of items that someone in the household could use, but there wasn't anything in there that made the bundle seem like it was a great bargain.

BUT, I own a home have most gadgets known to man. And the surprising thing about the "Surprise Bundle", is that Surprise!! they junked me again. The last one was the worst. I think I paid about $20 with shipping and all combined. Nothing in the box that totaled up to $20 Value. At best, there was $7 worth of cheap plastic and trinkets. These are clearly an attempt at Bags O'Carp. And many sites have these, but the cost is too steep for me to try EVER again. Be honest, do like Woot... ...CALL IT CRAP and stick it in a box and mail it out the door for $8. Maybe some are worth more $$$ and many not. But, under $10 it is worth the risk. Any one selling Mystery/Surprise for more than $10 is taking your money and making a large profit! NO OFFENSE meant to the Yugster Site. Many deals are decent, but the Surprise deals blow. 3 strikes and your out....Sorry!

I got a really nice pen with built in LED flashlight and a laser pointer that makes shapes - you could use it to communicate in morse code as it has dots and dashes, cool for a former HAM like me. Second item was a Swiss Army style Keychain Screwdriver set - it has two fold out screwdrivers of each flat and Phillips with a carabiner style keychain. Next came a Croakies style case for my cellphone - goes around my neck and floats. The going around my neck is the best part as I'm always misplacing my phone. What else...A LED keychain flashlight, a set of 6 embossed photo greeting card frames with envelopes (believe it or not, these were a favorite,) and two CD-Roms. One was a basic Sudoku Freak game but the other was a DK 3-D World Atlas. My husband LOVES maps and was overjoyed. We got our $10 worth the moment I pullled the second item out. Everything else was a bonus. Let's hope this one is as good =)

I thought for the price it was a super WOOT deal. What a let down, cant believe that this company would risk losing customers just to dump a load of crap. Maybe if they had put in anither 10 equally pieces of garbage one could at least laugh at it all, but to just know that they have the stupidity to just rip people off is unbelievable. Wont ever happen again and word of mouth is the best or in this case the worst advertising. Better sharpen up Yug heads before you lose customers.

As it turned out, this is the first bundle that I have purchased that did not have even one item in it that I could use. I would rather have seen fewer, better, items than again many items such as earphones, retractable cables, led lights, etc.

It contains some past YUG items, but curiously, they are shown as Sold Out. Huh? If there were extras to include in these packages, why were they declared Sold Out? Perhaps so there would be some things to put in these surprise packages. The best/funniest thing about this item is the misspelling on the front of the package: "retarable" instead of "rechargeable". What I received, with Item Name and Yug Gold Price/Shipping, if known, shown: First Alert All-in-One Travel Adapter ($6.97/$3/sold out?-10/2 YUG), iLite Touch Operation Super Bright LED Flashlight($7.97/Free Shipping-10/3 YUG), Targus Notebook Optical Mouse with Retractable USB Cable($6.97/$3-9/24 YUG), Data Drive Thru Retractable Stereo Earphones, MusicPower Rechargeable Stereo Speaker, and a generic "Made in China" Round disc thingy with with 6 different USB connectors for different interfaces, and an egg size squishy, rice-like filled hand exerciser ball thingy that says Happy Holidays! While I probably wouldn't have bought anything other than the notebook mouse on their own merits, I will be able to use everything I received. One suggestion to Master Yug: the term "SUPER-SIZED Edition" is quite misleading. Basically, everything I received would all have fit inside a shoe box. Other than that I don't really have any complaints.

And my stress ball says Happy Hanukkah. I can probably use the headphones and rechargable speaker, and maybe I'll hang onto the travel adapter for the next time I go to Germany. The flashlight is a definite yes on use. The other three things (stress ball, phone swivel, and multi-USB connector) are probably going onto Craigslist or Freecycle. Now I just have to watch for something to use my $5 coupon on...

Yes, we actually have overhead at a warehouse and don't do this in our backyard :) that includes shipping - average cost $8 plus the cost to pay for packing, shipping, labor. Leaves $20. Everyone got a $5 credit which if applied, and most will leaves $15. From there you can see from above that we sold some of the core items (travel surge, ilite, rechargeable mp3 speaker, mouse) for over $40 recently combined on Yugster. A few extra items were also thrown in. You can see why we never make any money on these - our cost for the products and the shipping/fulfill usually at best is break-even, usually we take some small loss. It's a tradition we like to keep and is a fun event so we keep doing it. Totally get that you don't always get items that might be worthwhile to you - but the one thing I can assure you is we're not getting rich on these and we make sure that worst case you're getting it at cost, if not slightly better - no profit. Just a few things to think about if you don't mind me sharing the economics of the bundles...

You must realize the psychology of the average Joe and Joanne, Master Yug. When I read those words I was thinking of a box that truly was SUPER SIZED, which you have to admit, it wasn't. I was merely suggesting a little more realistic representation in your advertising. That isn't to say you need to give the exact dimensions of the box, but maybe something like "at least "X" number of items that you have seen on Yugster.com in the past 3 months/ 6 months/ year/ etc." Then people could peruse Past Yugs to see if there is anything they might want but also realize there will be some other things as well. That said, I was actually pleased with what I received and that's why I listed them with their Past Yug prices, including shipping costs. I could only find about half of them in Past Yugs, but I admit I didn't spend more than about 10 minutes looking so the info might have been there. My reason for doing so was to calculate the value of everything I received, as well as take into consideration the cost of shipping AND "handling" (which includes everything you mentioned such as the cost of the box, postage, overhead, salaries, etc. If anyone bothered to do some basic math, the value of JUST the first 3 items I listed was $21.91 plus $6.00 shipping which, by the way, even included FREE shipping for the flashlight. I would venture a guess that the remaining items were probably of equal value, but just to be the Devil's Advocate, let's just say it was only half that amount. That still gives us each a Surprise Bundle package worth $41.87. Not too shabby for a $30 investment. It's certainly a better return than my bank is offering. I think some people are calling items "junk" just because they don't have a personal need for them. I don't have a real "need" for everything I received, but that doesn't lessen the value of them. You are gambling on the outcome just as you would by gambling in Reno or Las Vegas - there are no guarantees. If you can't afford to lose, then you shouldn't be gambling. If you're up for a TRUE surprise - and honestly, how many of those do we get anymore as adults once we've figured out that Santa, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny don't really exist (excuse me while I sob at the memories...) - only then should you take the gamble. And if you can't...don't buy a Surprise Bundle. Oh...and stop your damn bellyaching!
